Águeda é Natal

In 2015, Águeda goes in the “Guiness World Records” book, by having the “Biggest Santa in the world” in exhibition. The Biggest Santa is looking over Águeda since that year, every year, during the Christmas festivities. In 2018, our Christmas guardian gets a friend that is only compared to it’s exclusivity: The smallest Santa in the world! This micro-sculpture is made by the British artist Willard Wigan, whom is also in the “Guiness World Records” has the artist with the smallest sculptures in the world. This sculpture can only be seen in the microscope, since it lives in a needle’s hole!

To make our Christmas even more magic, Águeda has a Christmas market with food and crafts trucks, various street performances and a Christmas decoration you can only find here: yes, we do have Christmas decoration with umbrellas!
