The Rurrenabaque Destination Madidi Pampas, constantly has been facing problems that threaten the sustainable development of its territory and therefore of the communities that inhabit it, in this case, the Tacana culture. Hence The Tacana Women’s Route was created to make visible the role of the indigenous woman who belongs to the Tacana culture, in their commitment to the conservation of agrobiodiversity, their culture, and their relationship with the forest. The route covers local small businesses that are under the business model called Tacana Brand, which was generated as a result of the training carried out at the Business School “Epuna Cuana Eme” (Woman’s Hands in the Tacana language) considered the first business school for indigenous women, created under the principles of sisterhood and entrepreneurial culture.

Sustainability in Bolivia is an emerging priority, driven by the nation’s rich biodiversity and environmental challenges. The commitment of the country is evident in its efforts to protect pristine ecosystems like the Amazon rainforest and the Andes mountains. The government has implemented policies to combat deforestation, conserve water resources, and promote sustainable agriculture practices. Additionally, Bolivia is making strides in renewable energy, particularly in harnessing its vast solar and wind potential. Getting around Bolivia offers a unique and sometimes adventurous experience due to its diverse terrain and transportation options. Altitude considerations are vital in high-altitude locations. While transportation in Bolivia can be an adventure, careful planning and a spirit of exploration can lead to memorable experiences in this captivating country.
